Patrick Langdon-Dark and Noah Capps Dominate at Welsh Pro

Last weekend saw the second leg of the UK Pro Surf Tour head to Porthcawl in South Wales. In the 3 – 4 ft surf it was the young crew who were dominant. 1st place went to local welsh surfer Patrick Langdon-Dark and 2nd places went to 17 year old Noah Capps. In a fiercely fought final, the two youngsters beat off brother Reubyn and Joss Ash. The event possibly signals a changing of the guard as younger surfers move up the rankings to challenge the more experience pros. Another standout youngster was Lukas Skinner who won the Under 18 boys division at the age of just 11.

The event also hosted the return of the Women’s Welsh Pro. A dominating performance by Peony Knight took the title, who the process scored the highest points for an individual wave in the event. Second place went to Woolacombe’s Lucy Campbell. Third was last year’s tour champion Emily Currie and fourth young Tegan Blackford.
