South Wales 2015

The pinnacle of men and juniors surfing in South Wales will attend the 4th event on the Pro Surf Tour, to be held in Rest Bay, Porthcawl 13 - 14 October. It is a crucial event with lots at stake for the Tour competitors.

Porthcawl rarely lets us down when it comes to contestable conditions as its consistent in picking up swell all year round. Locals such as Patrick Langdon-Dark and Alys Barton thrive in these parts and will be challenging competitors amongst the Junior divisions.

The last time the tour visited south wales was in 2015 at Llantwit Major part of our wave breaker series. Mark Harris took-the win in Llantwit beating Johnny Fryer and Luke Dillon in the Open division.

Dave Reed Tour Director commented:
“It’s great for the tour to be visiting South Wales again, providing support for the development of Welsh surfers having an event encompassing eight junior categories and a Men’s Open. There is a new breed of Welsh junior surfers in the UK, the likes of Patrick Langdon-Dark and Alys Barton winning tour titles and others challenging for the top places in all the events.”
